Desktop server was a small webserver developed by Tyler Worman to share a screenshot of your desktop easily. It was created sometime around 2002. The server starts and listens on a specified port. When it is not in privacy mode it will respond to requests for a specific webpage by parsing a template, filling in system statistics and snapping an picture of the users desktop to include in the page. When in privacy mode it returns system specifications but no picture. It should still work but you will need to allow it to work through the Microsoft Windows firewall.
